Aurora Over Alpenglow
This grand display hovered right over Alpenglow Mountain along the Turnagain Arm. On the New Seward Highway just south of Anchorage Alaska, quite the formation the Northern Lights took on. This was the tail end of a beautifully green solar storm. Sometimes the tail comes in and leaves an amazing signature. The first part of the storm was hidden by the clouds all the way from Anchorage to Fairbanks. Mt Alpenglow tops off at 4,419 feet, just for a size scale on this behemoth display.
